IRMCO 980-000

980-000 is a fully synthetic alternative to oil and pigmented paste lubricants for demanding mandrel tube bending operations. It is approved by Airbus for mandrel draw bending on stainless steel and cold drawing titanium.

980-000 provides a micro-layer of lubricating film on metal surfaces, between mandrel body and tube wall. The unique chemical nature and thick viscosity of 980-000 translates to the product “staying put”, resulting in less lubricant dripping off of machinery and less “weeping” of lubricant onto floors. These characteristics allow for the product to be applied in lower volume –at least 50% less when compared to oil, thus reducing lubricant consumption and lowering process costs.

For cleaning of parts to aerospace standards, a mild alkaline aqueous cleaning process is all that is required.

Ideal for Stainless Steel, Titanium and Inconel.

Will draw bend all of these materials, with correct tooling down to 1D CLR.
