IRMCO 980-301

980-301 is a fully synthetic alternative to oil and pigmented paste lubricants for demanding mandrel tube bending and forming applications.

980-301 provides a micro-layer of lubricating film on metal surfaces, between mandrel body and tube wall. The unique chemical nature and thick viscosity of 980-301 translates to the product “staying put”, resulting in less lubricant dripping off of machinery and less “weeping” of lubricant onto floors. These characteristics allow for these products to be applied in lower volume –at least 50% less when compared to oil- thus reducing lubricant consumption and lowering process costs.

Used extensively in OEM truck and bus exhaust manufacturing and in specialist large diameter tubes and pipes.

980-301 has the ability to work with greater mandrel clearance on large diameter tubes.

Suitable for Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminised Steel.
